I had a dream that I was in the audience in an upper balcony. I saw Sara Mearn on stage. She wore a nude colored cover up over her costume. She took it off and had on a purple dress with streaks of red and green. I then was in another room with Ashley Bouder looking at a pair of pointe shoes. I explained that I wanted to paint the shoes purple and have red and green streaks. She asked me about the ribbons  and I woke up. It took me a long time to figure out what I wanted to. Once I settled on a nude color, I had a really difficult time finding what I wanted because everything was pink. I even considered just buying pointe shoe ribbons. I thought about that dream multiple times to remember that nude color. I eventually settled on the nude color and texture that I have today. Since both Sara & Ashley are/were NYCB  dancers, I named my shoes the New York Dream.
